Just to let my regular readers know that I am also now publishing my blog entries on the wider platform of Substack.
I’m in the gradual process of moving the articles at the rate of a few every day – it’s probably going to take a good while as I have made several hundred blog posts over the eleven years I have been writing it! While Substack does have a bulk import feature, it doesn’t work with my blog because of certain formatting issues, particularly with page layouts and the footnotes plugin I use.
Also, the RefTagger Bible references rollover feature doesn’t work on Substack either, which is a bit of a pain. If you roll over this Scripture reference John 3:16 with your mouse, or click on it as a link (if you’re using a mobile phone), it will take you to the Bible verse itself. This doesn’t work at all on Substack.
Also, the series system works very differently on Substack. On there, the series are not quite the same way of handling things; on there they are called ‘Sections’ and they always show with the newest at the top of the list. This is annoying as usually each of my series have an introduction page which it’s usually best to read first. But on Substack there’s no facility to arrange them like that. Meh.
But still, all my blog posts will still appear here on my usual WordPress blog, so don’t worry! I just wanted to get my stuff out to a wider audience, is all.
